FeedMate Terms of Service
1. Introduction
FeedMate (the “Service”) is provided by SparkLight Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a corporation registered in the United States. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use FeedMate.
2. Account Registration
- You must be at least 14 years old to create and maintain a FeedMate account.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and promptly notify us of any unauthorized use.
3. Services
FeedMate offers an AI-supported RSS reader and personalized news briefing experience. Core functionality includes account-based access, import and management of RSS feeds, information noise reduction, duplicate removal, and customized digests. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
- FeedMate offers paid subscription plans. Current pricing and plan details appear in the app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Renewal charges occur within 24 hours prior to the end of the billing cycle.
- All payments are non-refundable, including partial periods or unused time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to upload malicious code, interfere with platform operations, attempt unauthorized access, or use FeedMate for unlawful or abusive purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Ownership and Content
- SparkLight Inc. retains all rights to FeedMate, including software, trademarks, and design assets.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to access any RSS feeds you import.
- We do not claim ownership of your imported feeds or configuration data.
7. Data Handling and Privacy
We collect RSS subscriptions and usage logs to deliver and improve the Service. Data is stored in the United States and processed on infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). For details, review our Privacy Policy.
8. Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, or outages may occur. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime or data loss.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of FeedMate.
- Our maximum liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations, suspected abuse, or legal requirements.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which SparkLight Inc. is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
12. Changes to Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. We will notify users via email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
